Sold 120x Salvaged 1990s Red Velour Cinema Seats with Drink Holders - Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire

Description

Covered in the Classic Cinema-Red Velour, these fold up seats were salvaged from a family run cinema in Northern Ireland which ran between 1992-2016.

Made from steel and steamed ply. The upholstery is in great condition with the odd chair showing signs of wear or an old chewing gum patch but no damage, probably just a bit dusty now, we made sure we chose the best of the bunch! All screws for bolting to ground were salvaged but we did not retrieve the bolts as cemented in. (Easily found at Screwfix / Toolstation).

The seats each measure approx 500mm wide, 670mm high and 640mm deep. Seat height is 400mm and the back pitch is approx 15 degrees. They all have padded armrests and drinks holders.

All numbered on the bottom half, and a number of the row ends still have letters too. These are a bit of a mix since we picked out the best of over 600 seats. We picked up spares and extras of many things in-case of variation of placement for our screening room.

The photos show the seats in their original screening room outside Antrim then stored in their parts, grouped in bottoms, backs and arms. A friend helped assemble one for another photo to show what they look like after a couple years in storage.

PLEASE NOTE - these chairs have all been stored at a farm in Herefordshire for two years. All checked in August and still fine but a little dusty.

They are so deserving of a loving project. Alas we were not lucky enough to get our place up and running in East London but I hope someone else will help them fulfill their potential!
